Thursday April 12

We started with a warm up. Then we took up the last two nights of homework.

Students were given a handout to review postive/negative intervals.

Then students did an invetigation to determine how we can know the horizonal asympotote of a rational function of the form f(x) = ax+b/cx+d.

Homework: pg. 272 # 1, 5abc, 6ac

Students were give a Thinking/Inquiry Assignment to complete. It is due Tuesday April 24th

Chapter 5 Quiz will be Monday.

Tuesday Feb 7

We started with a warm up to review factoring. Students were given a textbook.

Then we took up the homework and continued working on review.

Homework: Complete all remaining questions on the gr. 11 Review.

Also, bring in a scientific calculator, 9 dividers, course outline signed.

Wednesday December 21

Students were given back their assignments today and we took it up at the beginning of class.

Students wrote the Unit 7 Trigonometry test. Due to incomplete homework and lack of effort many students were not successful on the test. All students will have a 1/2 hour tomorrow to complete their test.

Homework: Study for the test and use extra math help (schedule is in the classroom and on our classroom door). There is help availalble tomorrow morning from 7:30-8am in room 201.

Tuesday December 19

We started with a warm up to review how to find unknown sides and angles in right triangles using SOH CAH TOA and pythagorean theorem.

Then we took up the homework.

Students were given the remainder of the period to complete an in class assignment that is due at the end of class. They were able to use their notes.

Test is tomorrow!

Homework: Complete review worksheet.

Monday December 19

We started with a warm up of how to use primary trigonometric ratios to solve unknown sides in right triangles.

Then we did a lesson on how to find unknown angles in right triangles using the primary trigonometric ratios.

Students were given 30 minutes to start on homework.

Homework: Worksheet #2-8 and finish review sheet that was given out on Friday.

In class assignment TOMORROW.

Test is Wednesday.

Wednesday December 14

We collected all items for our Be an Angel family today. We gave our family a total of $850 worth of gifts!!!! THANK YOU all so very much for your generosity.

We took up the homework. Then we did a lesson on how to use the primary trigonometric ratios (sin, cos, and tan) to find an unknown side length in a right angle triangle.

Homework: Front side of worksheet #1 -4.

Tuesday December 13

We started by taking up last nights homework.

Then we did an investigation to develop formulas for the primary trigonometric ratios. We then applied our conclusions to problems.

Homework: Complete #1-4 (we did #1 together in class) on the front side of the worksheet given today.

Monday Dec 12

We collected items brought in for our be an angel family.

Reminder: All gifts are due Wednesday. All donations are due Tomorrow.

We did a lesson on similar triangles. Then students were given two worksheets to practice (given 25 minutes in class).

Homework: Complete two worksheets (except the side that says “Cryptic Quiz”).

 

Thursday Dec 8

We spent the first half of class reviewing the new Catholic Mass.

Then we discussed our Angel family and students selected items to buy for our family. Donations are also welcome to go towards a grochery voucher.

We did a lesson on proportions. Then students were given a worksheet to complete.

Homework: Proportions worksheet front side only #1-4

Wednesday Dec 7

We finished taking pizza orders today and then sold the pizza at lunch. Thank you to all who volunteered to help out at lunch.

We took up the last review question and then students wrote the test.

No homework tonight!
